About Me

Hi, I’m Mars! I’m a proud born-and-raised Missoulian. I come from a huge, blended family of three sisters, three stepbrothers, my parents, and myself, so I try my best to stand out. If you see me out and about without my camera, I’m usually skateboarding or biking in the summer, or I’m in the mountains snowboarding in the winter. 

I attended ninth through twelfth grade at Sentinel High School, where I worked for the newspaper and fell in love with music, playing trombone and tuba (and sometimes banjo!) in the band. 

I am majoring in Journalism at the University of Montana. I hope to one day use the skills and experience I gain to work as a photojournalist. I'm interested in conflict photography, photo essays, portraiture, feature photography, and general news.
